Seis Puentes offers various workshops on issues concerning immigration, business development, health issues, insurance issues, etc. See the calendar for upcoming workshops.
In partnership with Arkansas Coalition for DREAM, Seis Puentes will help host an event to help potential Deferred Action applicants complete their forms.
“On June 15th, 2012, the Secretary of Homeland Security announced that certain people who came to the United States as children and meet several key guidelines may request consideration of deferred action for a period of two years, subject to renewal, and would then be eligible for work authorization. Deferred action is a discretionary determination to defer removal action of an individual as an act of prosecutorial discretion. Deferred action does not provide an individual with lawful status,” says the website of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, www.uscis.gov.
AC4D and Seis Puentes will host this workshop on Saturday, October 4th from 9 AM – 4 PM at Faith Spring Church located at 501 S. Bowman at the Corner of Bowman and Chenal Parkway next door to Best Buy.
Participants should consult www.uscis.gov and bring to the workshop the following types of documents.
If you would like to volunteer at this event please call 501-291-1772.
With state and federal elections upon us, we would like to invite you to help us reach out to Latinos and immigrants who are eligible to vote. Immigrant turnout will effect whether policy debate will focus on deportation and separation of families or whether our government will begin to integrate immigrants into solutions that can help Arkansas and USA move forward.
Seis Puentes and Arkansas United Communities Coalition (AUCC) are partnering with several other orgs and individuals to talk with Latino and immigrant voters to encourage them to become involved by exercising their right to vote.
If you would like to become involved in this campaign, call 501-291-1772 for more information. Check our Facebook page for more information about upcoming voter registration events.
Thank you to everyone involved in this project! During this event we helped over 60 people complete their citizenship applications. Please check this site for updates on the next Naturalization Clinic.
